Monkey GoldenPalace.com and forehead tattoo: the story of the craziest gambling marketing

One of the first online kazis in the early noughties was the iconic Golden Palace for its time. The office could have drowned among dozens of offshore companies, which were already working with might and main, if not for their marketer. The man did such damn things that we decided to write a separate post about it.

They knew how to trash marketing

The beginning of the "madness" of the Golden Palace is 2003. For three years, they conducted frenzied RCs for that time. And here are the main ones:

🤩 In 2004, an American woman put up a toast on eBay with the "imprint of the face of the Virgin Mary." No one would buy this sur except Golden Palace — they bought it for $28,000;

🤩 In 2005, Peruvian biologists discovered a new species of monkey. Golden Palace bought the right to name this species in its honor for $650,000. Now this species is literally called GoldenPalace .com Monkey;

🤩 Casino was the first to order brand tattoos (such a life). So, one student from Indiana tattooed the name of the company on her forehead and earned $10,000 on it, and after her began a whole influx of people from people who wanted to - from boxers to fishermen and TV stars. The media dubbed it as body marketing madness;

🤩 They wanted to give money to a woman who gave birth to triplets so that she would name the children Golden, Palace and Dotcom.

🤩 In 2005, they bought the soul of an eighteen-year-old guy on eBay and opened a website called Soul4Sale, where players could exchange "souls" 😂

Their latest high-profile PR is an attempt to strike a deal with NASA to launch the Golden Palace logo into space to "play roulette with the universe."

All this schizophrenia had a real impact in ROI. If you believe the numbers, at the peak their attendance was 5 million users per month, the brand entered the top 5 most recognizable casinos in the United States and Canada, and advertising brought in $20 million against $1 million in investments 💸

Banned

For the gray market, 2007 was a fateful year. When the UIGEA law regulating all online gambling was released in the United States, almost all offshore companies died out, and the rest went into the shadows. Among these remaining is the Golden Palace, which is still functioning, but no longer uses the past hype.

But the casino created a precedent and went down in history as the first to use such techniques and really make money on it. So after another trick of Stake, mention GoldenPalace 🙂
